RML Uses Clay Paky Fixtures for BBC’s “Fee Fi Fo Yum”

LONDON – Les Dennis presented a new series of the BBC children's TV show, Fee Fi Fo Yum, where the object of the game is to avoid being eaten by Brian the Giant. Made in BBC Television Centre TC 3, the whimsical dinner table set, animated by computer-generated creatures and lots of slime, was lit with Clay Paky Alpha Beam 300s and Alpha Spot HPE 700s. The set took up all but a few feet of the studio. Massive kitchen scales occupy the center, giant books made up the steps and, in the middle, there is the bowl where the slime games take place.

The Clay Paky Alpha Beam 300s were chosen for their punchy beam, which proved to be well-suited to the games, and the Alpha Spot HPE 700s were used to break up the floor and pick the children – or, for those not fortunate enough to win, the "humunchies."
