TOKYO and SINGAPORE – Robert Juliat opened two new branches recently, in Tokyo and Singapore. The company also named Masaaki Segawa president of Robert Juliat Japan and Jamie Boey branch manager in Singapore, which will also serve customers in China, Taiwan, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia and India.
The new branch based in Tokyo will promote Robert Juliat profiles, Fresnels, PCs and followspots for use in theatres, concert halls, TV studios and by lighting companies.
Robert Juliat Japan is supported by the Sogo Butai Co. Ltd group, which has provided the Japanese entertainment industry with the most experienced staff and the latest equipment since 1972. Sogo Butai Co. Ltd specializes in the rental of lighting and sound equipment to all areas of production, including lighting and sound design, and in planning concerts, events, theatrical and television programs.
"We noticed that the reputation of RJ products was very high when they were introduced into the New National Theatre in Tokyo," Masaaki said. "It is time their benefits were given greater attention. We intend to develop Robert Juliat's position further in the Japanese industry."

Boey joins the company from Total Solution Marketing Pte Ltd where he spent six years as Sales & Product Manager, in charge of product management and local and regional sales. Boey brings his experience to Robert Juliat, overseeing the Asia region where he will be further developing Robert Juliat presence in this fast growing market.
"Jamie has great knowledge and understanding of operating in this region," said Garraud. "Initially he will be concentrating on establishing a network across China, Taiwan, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia and India.
