HANOVER, Germany — Tarm Showlaser GmbH, recently named official laser supplier of laser shows and related equipment to the Hanover Industrial Fair, got the chance to put its visuals on display during the opening ceremony of the 2015 Hanover Industrial Fair, which was attended by 3,500 invited guests.

On April 12, tarm Showlaser GmbH, acting under contract to the “insglück Gesellschaft für Markeninszenierung mbH” agency, marked the start of its appointment as official supplier of laser shows and related equipment to the Hanover Industrial Fair. At the event formally opening this year’s fair, more than 3,500 invited guests, among them German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Prime Minister of Lower Saxony Stephan Weil, witnessed a fifteen-minute show that beat everything that has been seen to date.
The event took place at the Hanover Congress Center on the evening preceding the fair’s opening to members of the general public. In the foreground of the staging was this year’s theme, “Industry 4.0,” which is based on the fact that we have entered an era where a close intermeshing of all entities involved in production processes has become the overriding demand imposed on competitors by the marketplace.
The staging utilized lasers, live performances, and other media, combined with LED-cubes that were specially fabricated for the show to portray industry’s increasing reliance on digital computers and computer networking.
At the high point of the event, a self-organizing swarm of “eSpheres” provided by one of the fair’s exhibitors, Festo, flew above the heads of the attending dignitaries.
