DUBAI, UAE – The 2011 edition of Education Without Borders, a biennial international student conference, opened on Burj Khalifa Island with a laser show in front of the world's tallest building. The event was attended by more than 1,000 students from 130 countries and hosted by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The laser show made use of six high-power lasers and 60 precision deflecting mirrors.
