WURZBURG, Germany – The Airport disco recently installed 14 Eurolite LSD (LED Soft Display) curtains from Eurolite after owner Rudi Schmidt determined that the product offered the right combination of flexibility, low weight, bright colors and the ability to display video as well as graphics. Ape Labs Lichtprodukte installed 10 Eurolite LSD-75, four LSD-50 and six LSD AIO Network control systems in the Airport and in the adjacent premises of Soundpark Ost.
For more than 26 years, the Airport has attracted visitors interested in the German House and Techno scene. In 1983 it opened its doors in an old warehouse. Back in those days, the interior design was that of an airport terminal, hence the name of the club.
The Airport, which had its own truck at Berlin's Love Parade, is also known for hosting international top acts such like Kraftwerk, Sven Väth, Paul van Dyk, Monika Kruse or Moonbootica.
