T’s former home at Balado airfield a few miles down the road was finally vetoed last year after long-running health and safety issues about pipelines which runs directly under it.

Some of the biggest names in music made their way to Scotland in July for the 3 day festival (10th-12th). Jessie J, Labrinth, The Libertines, The Script, Noel Gallagher, Stereophonics, Ella Eyre and Twin Atlantic to name a few.

GH:     Lanz, can you tell us what you did for Twin Atlantic at T in the park?

LS:      I designed and made some content for the show. Specifically their hit song Heart and soul. I also set up VideoMapper and made custom DMX personalities and programed the Amba’s so that the lighting designer could trigger pre-sets with his desk.

GH:     Tell us what / how you used the Hippotizer Amba units at T in the Park Lanz?

LS:      I used 1x V4 Amba unit with Datapath HD-SDI capture card and another Amba unit as backup on stage in dimmer world and I ran Zookeeper front of House.

GH:     What was challenging about this job and why did using Hippotizer Media Servers make it easier?

LS:      To be honest the gig was big but the hippos made it easy, only challenging point was no sleep as we had to work through the night for the load in and the out.  Hippotizer simply performed, the new VideoMapper, DMX component and Preset manager were quick to setup and did the job well. The live capture also ran without noticeable latency.

GH:     So all in all you were happy with the performance of Hippotizer Media Servers?

LS:      Yeah, the atmosphere at T in the park was Electric. We smashed it, and the hippos ran like a knife through mud butter! ?
