GOTHENBURG, Sweden – The Volvo Museum, which has expanded to an area totaling more than 86,000 square feet, now welcomes 100,000+ tourists every year from all over the world. A key focal point is a new 21,000+ square foot pavilion highlighting Volvo’s sponsorship of ocean yacht racing and and prestigious golf competitions. Mediatec obtained an assortment of fixtures made by Luci della Ribalta (LDR) and sourced via LDR’s distributor for Sweden, Bellalite, to achieve the design objectives.

More details from LDR (www.ldr.it):

Volvo Museum in Sweden Gets Lighting Solution with LDR Gear“It was a challenging architectural project since we had to provide an answer to different needs with one unique solution,” said LDR’s Fabiano Besio. “The performances of the CDM lamp (12000hrs , CRI >90 with a choice of 3000°K and 4500 °K ) coupled with a built-in ballast and compact stylish Italian design drive the choice of the architects.”

The company Bellalite, exclusive distributor of the LDR’s range for Sweden, provides local support to Mediatec supplying the museum with the right mix of floodlights, Fresnels and profiles luminaires contributing to the success of the museum.

“Our company,” says Leif Lundgren from Bellalite, “is known for providing high quality service and great product to the Swedish market. This is an important addition to the existing portfolio of architectural installations made In Sweden from Bellalite using the LDR architectural range.

Volvo Museum in Sweden Gets Lighting Solution with LDR Gear“Our theatre background and passion for lighting was taken into the architectural market with success,” commented  Fabiano Besio. “We are particularly proud of the results and the continued success is proving that we made the right choice. A special thanks goes to the company Mediatec and Bellalite, and to all the people involved with this project.”
