LONDON — Having recently purchased a Hippotizer V4 Karst media server, Vortex Events will be putting it to the test immediately on the John Peel stage at Glastonbury this coming week.

More details from Vortex Events (www.vortexhire.co.uk):

With a four-year history in the industry, Vortex Events are becoming widely known for equipment rental and full production support. Matt Gourd and Iain Rendle have a combined knowledge of over 20 years in the events industry and are passionate about offering great service and support. Vortex Events provides both dry rental of all their equipment as well as full production support for everything from musical productions, TV shows and dance events to touring productions, festivals and corporate events.

Vortex Events vision is to ensure total customer satisfaction. Working on the principles of reliability, honesty, integrity and a desire to help clients keep within budget and exceed their event objectives. They employ the latest technology and use highly skilled experienced AV engineers to ensure they can meet this goal.

Matt Gourd (owner), comments:  “We looked at many different media servers and having used a wide range onsite for events, it was easy to see that the V4 range was one step ahead in many ways. These include the value for money and great support they offer. The Karst will help us realise some complicated mapping projects and visualise them at the design stage. This means we can easily translate our ideas to our clients, which means they can visualise what we can offer at the quote stage of the project”

“The Karst will be used for projection mapping on buildings/bespoke surfaces, pixel mapping on our custom LED screen solutions and for touring events where the LD needs to take control.”

Simon Harris, User Experience Manager at Green Hippo, says: “We are very excited that Vortex have chosen Hippotizer V4 as their media server weapon of choice. Matt & Iain’s creative ideas and technical skills will see the system shine on a wide range of projects and it’s our pleasure to have them on board.”

We look forward to bringing you updates on all the exciting projects Vortex Events will be doing with their new V4 Karst and also a more details and pictures from their Glastonbury adventures!
