LONDON – Entertainment lighting specialist White Light announces its appointment as an Authorized Philips Vari-Lite Service Center, joining the world-wide family of VARI*LITE Service Centers. The appointment was confirmed Dec. 7 and became effective immediately.
As an Authorized Service Center, White Light now offers service and support of all VARI*LITE automated lighting fixtures, from the long-established VL500 and VL3000 families to the VLX range of LED fixtures. The company’s technicians can now carry out routine maintenance and servicing or repair work, including warranty repairs, for other VARI*LITE owners across the UK and Europe. White Light’s staff has already completed extensive training, and the company has $100,000 of spare parts on-hand allowing most repairs to be carried out immediately.
“We are delighted by this appointment,” comments Dave Isherwood, White Light’s Technical Director. “to be chosen by one of the pioneering companies in automated lighting as one of their few service centers in Europe provides clear recognition of the skills and talents of White Light’s team of service engineers. They can now not only maintain our extensive fleet of equipment, as they have always done, but also the lighting rigs of every other user, venue and supplier of VARI*LITE products.”
“We welcome White Light to the Philips Vari-Lite family of service centers,” says Julie Smith, Director Global Support Services for Philips Vari-Lite. “White Light has a long-established reputation for excellent customer service and support, and we are happy that those high standards are now available to support our customers across Europe.”
