White Light Sets Amateur and Schools Lighting Open Day

WIMBLEDON, UK – Entertainment lighting specialist White Light will hold its first Amateur and Schools Lighting Open Day on Sunday, Sept. 30 at its base in Wimbledon, southwest London. From 10:30 a.m.-4 pm, all are invited for hands-on demonstrations of products – including special effects – training on show control, a sale of used gear, and a barbecue lunch. There is no charge for the event, but interested persons are asked to RSVP.

WIMBLEDON, UK – Entertainment lighting specialist White Light will hold its first Amateur and Schools Lighting Open Day on Sunday, Sept. 30 at its base in Wimbledon, southwest London.

All involved in lighting for amateur theatre groups and schools are invited, with the day scheduled to allow them to attend.

Lighting masterclasses will be led by White Light’s in-house designers. Also offered are hands-on play with a range of equipment and special effects including snow, UV, projection and bubbles. A demonstration of explosive pyrotechnics from pyro specialists Le Maitre will take place, and training will be offered in show lighting control from ETC.

White Light will host a small selection of manufacturers showing off their latest lighting products, with White Light staff also on hand to offer advice and to lead tours of White Light’s warehouse and comprehensive hire stock. A sale of ex-demo and second-hand lighting equipment will be available, and barbecue lunch served.

The event takes place from 10:30 am-4 pm. There is no charge for the day.
