LONDON – White Light reported that it is staying busy in early 2010, particularly in the world of theatre, the market in which the company first established itself. On the West End, recent productions include Jerusalem, lit by Mimi Jordan Sherin; The Little Dog Laughed at the Garrick, lit by Jon Clark; and Six Degrees of Separation, lit by Jason Taylor.
The sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies, is also previewing, with White Light supplying Paule Constable's design; the show is due to open on March 9.
White Light also supported the recent openings of The Misanthrope, lit by Peter Mumford; and the RSC's Twelfth Night at the Duke of York's, lit by Tim Mitchell.
Recent plays include: An Inspector Calls, lit by Rick Fisher; The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, lit by Mark Henderson; The 39 Steps, lit by Ian Scott; War Horse, lit by Paule Constable, and The Woman in Black, lit by Kevin Sleep.
Recent musicals include: Billy Elliot, lit by Rick Fisher; Chicago, lit by Ken Billington, Dirty Dancing, lit by Tim Mitchell, Grease, lit by Mark Henderson; Les Misérables, lit by David Hersey; Peter Pan at the O2, lit by Mark Henderson and Sister Act, lit by Natasha Katz.
White Light is also supplying gear to tours including Eddie Izzard, a touring production of Grease in South Africa and the new touring production of Les Misérables in the U.K. Other recent tours include Australian rock band Wolfmother and architectural projects such as the external lighting scheme at London's Natural History Museum.
