LONDON — White Light supported One More Time, the theatrical gala held at the Piccadilly Theatre in support of Future Dreams and breast cancer charity Breakthrough. Future Dreams was founded by dance and performing arts teacher Danielle Leslie and her mother, Sylvie Henry in 2008, when both were diagnosed with breast cancer. The One Night Only concert they organized at the Savoy Theatre raised over £300,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
The follow-up One More Time concert was launched after Sylvie lost her battle with the disease. The gala featured appearances from Gaby Roslin, Vernon Kaye, Donna Air, Steve Balsamo, Ruthie Henshall, Hannah Waddingham, Sally Ann Triplett and the casts of Jersey Boys and Thriller Live.
White Light provided Oliver Matthews, the show’s lighting designer, with additional lighting equipment to complement the lighting rig for Grease, also supplied by White Light. The equipment supplied included the powerful, versatile JBLED A7 moving LED zoom washlights, about which Matthews noted “they were fantastic, adding such a kick to the Grease rig.”
One More Time exceeded the success of the 2008 concert, raising more than £400,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
