CASTEL GOFFREDO, Italy – The X-Factor is taking a bigger place on the international TV stage, having reached a total of 23 different countries from its U.K. origins. Coemar fixtures were specified for the X-Factor broadcasts in Italy – where the show first aired in 2008 – and the recent introduction of the show in Ukraine, which appears to be another ratings success. The brainchild of U.K. record producer Simon Cowell, the X-Factor now claims significant viewing audiences in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.
In Italy, Coemar supplied 70 Infinity Wash XLs to light the audience, judges and stage perimeter. The fixtures feature 1400W lamps and zooms ranging from 5° to 84,° which eliminates the need to change lenses. The 94 ParLite Led units, meanwhile, were chosen for their energy-efficient light output and brightness.
In the Ukraine, LD Ievgen Tsybinogin specified the Infinity Wash XL, Infinity Spot M and Testa 2500/Testa 1200 for the lighting rig. The 60 products were supplied by Alight, a Ukrainian rental company. The gear was sourced via Lightek, the local Coemar representative.
