Board Appointments for Bandit Lites’ Chairman
KNOXVILLE, TN – Michael T. Strickland, chairman of the global entertainment lighting firm Bandit Lites, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of University Health Systems. UHS oversees the University of Tennessee Medical Center, The University of Tennessee Health Network, The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, various regional hospitals and physicians groups. Strickland sits on the Finance Committee within the board, helping to steer a billion dollar heath care endeavor.
Strickland was simultaneously appointed to the University of Tennessee Athletics Board, which oversees all athletic functions of the University of Tennessee. This department is itself a several hundred million dollar annual enterprise.
Finally, Strickland was named Chair of the Knoxville Development Council, the fund raising arm of the Knoxville campus of The University of Tennessee.
