WEST BABYLON, NY — Bestek Lighting and Staging, based here, named Carl Bambina VP of sales. After graduating from Syracuse University, Bambina focused on large-format graphics, migrating from billboards to event production. Bestek also promoted Kevin O’Brien to head of production.

Carl Bambina
Bambina began a 10 year career in both New York City and Long Island City, working in the Large Format Printing industry, when Photoshop was only a few years old. He became a star in his industry, creating colossal images on 20 feet wide machines that could produce 60 feet wide billboards. He used his acquired knowledge of photography, color correction, print production and design to produce graphics that were seen by millions on billboards in Times Square and on the sides of highways throughout the USA. After working in many production positions in large format, Carl decided it was time for a change of scenery and moved to the sales side of the industry. His passion for producing large format graphics continued as he sold unique banners and displays at a successful print shop in CT. For the next 9 years of his career he worked with many creative and successful Event Producers and designers, helping them enhance their events with Special Event Graphics. Carl is excited to be joining the Bestek team as Vice President of Sales and looks forward to continuing Bestek’s 40 year legacy as the best in the industry. Kevin O’Brien
Kevin O’Brien has been promoted to a newly formed position as Bestek Lighting & Staging’s Head of Production. Kevin’s 18 years of experience with Bestek will be put to work overseeing production activities especially with respect to our equipment, scheduling and crews in the field. He will work in cooperation with Jason Rice who is coordinating the shop support efforts. Kevin’s new position will ensure that Bestek’s high standards of quality and service, developed and provided to our clients over the past four decades are maintained.
