UXBRIDGE, MA – Blackstone Productions named Todd Murphy as its new vice president of production. Murphy’s experience spans over two decades and includes positions ranging from technical and creative director to production manager and lighting/special effects designer for companies, both nationally and internationally.

UXBRIDGE, MA – Blackstone Productions, Inc., a national leader in event production and management, welcomes Todd Murphy as its new Vice President of Production, a position created to meet the growing demands of the marketplace and provide customers with the highest quality customer service.
“Todd is well known throughout the industry for his expertise and experience in creating, producing and managing events,” said Jason Geshelin, founder and president of Blackstone Productions. ”It is a pleasure to welcome him to our team. According to Geshelin, the primary focus of the Production VP position includes client management, managing the production operations of the company, execution of events and post event activities, as well as assisting with general company operations. “Todd coming on board is a huge asset for us,” Geshelin said. “He brings 20 years of knowledge, creativity and talent to our company and will provide the leadership qualities that will help us meet the growing demand we are seeing in the marketplace.”
Murphy’s experience spans over two decades and includes positions ranging from technical and creative director to production manager and lighting/special effects designer for companies, both nationally and internationally. Prior to joining Blackstone Productions he was senior technical director for Cramer Productions, a Norwood, Massachusetts based creative marketing agency, where he created, designed and executed large scale events around the globe. He graduated from Emerson College with a major in lighting design, and immediately joined Image Engineering, a special effects company now headquartered in Baltimore. There he designed and executed laser and pyro-technical shows for international meetings, product launches, and nationally televised special events.
Murphy also launched his own production company – Night Sky Productions – which offered stage management, technical and creative direction and special effects design. Some past clients were Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, National Hockey League, National Basketball Association, the Boston Garden, Madison Square Garden Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Motorola and many others.
