SKB Corporation Launches SKB Europe
Orange, CA – With the evolving European markets and the expansion of products in new categories, SKB Corporation announces the January 2012 opening of SKB Europe as the central distribution point in the European Union for the music pro A/V, industrial and sporting goods divisions.
“There exists a major challenge selling through traditional distributors in international markets due to the broad product line and markets that we serve,” states Jerry Andreas, Vice President of SKB Corporation. “This move will provide complete access to SKB products and allows us to have a more direct contact with major accounts in the European markets.”
Located in Reusel, Holland, SKB says the site is positioned perfectly for reaching mainland Europe efficiently. The Music Pro A/V market in the Scandinavian market will continue to be served by EM Nordic, while the UK Music Pro A/V market will be the responsibility of Shure Distribution UK. Not only will there be the a variety of products available in Europe, the SKB facility also will have the ability to develop and manufacture custom interiors for customers.
“We are excited about the growth opportunities in the European market and look forward to enhancing the SKB brand image in Europe,” states Wim Van Essen, manager of SKB Europe. “Already, we have seen success in the industrial markets by having stock and sales staff available locally. SKB Europe is ready to supply European dealers directly.”
SKB Europe will also coordinate trade show displays and focused marketing activities for all SKB Divisions within Europe.
