Philips Vari-Lite Continues Philips Realignment with Key Appointment to Central US Sales Territory
Respected lighting industry professional Charlie Hulme rejoins Philips Vari-Lite
DALLAS – Philips Vari-Lite announced the appointment of a key managerial position to its North American Sales Team in the Central US territory as part of the continuing Philips realignment. Philips Vari-Lite has appointed respected lighting industry professional Charlie Hulme to the position of Central US Sales Manager.
In his new role, Hulme will maintain and grow valued relationships with dealers, designers, and key end users throughout the region.
“We are excited to have Charlie rejoining the Philips Vari-Lite North American Sales Team,” said Bob Schacherl, Philips Vari-Lite Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. “When replacing a customer-facing employee, it is important to keep the clients in mind so that they do not have to completely retell their story. Because of his intimate knowledge of both the Central US region and VARI*LITE luminaires, Charlie will be able to provide a seamless transition of sales and support services.”
Hulme replaces Leonard Miller, who recently assumed the position of National Sales Manager for Philips Strand Lighting as part of the Philips reorganization in North America. Based in the Dallas, TX headquarters, Hulme’s Central US territory for Philips Vari-Lite will include Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
“It feels great to once again be a part of the Vari-Lite family,” said Hulme. “VARI*LITE luminaires are a staple of quality and consistency within the lighting industry and I am eager to begin working with all our dealers and designers across the Central US to further strengthen the VARI*LITE brand.”
Hulme is a 25-year veteran of the entertainment industry, with experience in concert lighting, automated lighting manufacturing, networked lighting control systems, professional sound reinforcement, and AV systems integration. He is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, is an ANSI accredited Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), and has earned LC certification from the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions.
