Dale Knoth has joined the New York-based firm, The Lighting Design Group, as a senior lighting designer. Hailing from upstate New York, Knoth’s theater studies took him from Binghamton University to NYU where he received his Master of Fine Arts degree in 1999. He has been involved with a diverse number of projects in theater, live events, architecture and television in the U.S. and abroad. His credits range from lighting the photographic series Home by Justin Booth-Clibborn (at the National Portrait Gallery London), to serving as the consultant to sculptor Bryan Hunt for his work The Coenites Ship (for the City of New York), to being part of the design teams for several Broadway shows, including the award-winning musicals Nine (2003 revival) and Baz Luhrmann’s La Boheme.
Knoth worked on many LDG studio designs for the Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, where he was an LD for many years. Prior to his tenure at Fox, Knoth was an associate designer for Paul Palazzo Design, Inc. Knoth spent most of the last decade as a designer at FLDA, where he was the senior lighting director at CNBC Business News and produced work for many other broadcast companies including ESPN, Disney+, BNC News Channel, ABC News, and NBC News.
