About Denis Hessberger
Denis discovered the ‘lighting thing’ while still at school and took up an apprenticeship with bright! creative event solutions as soon as he graduated. After three years at bright! He moved onto work as a technical support engineer and director of console development for German Light Products for two years.
Although Denis was happy at GLP, he desperately missed being out on the road. When he was asked by bright! to open their subsidiary in Hamburg in 2009, he moved to Hamburg and started working at bright! again.
At the end of 2014 he took the chance and started his own company with a focus on lighting, media and UX/UI design, pre-visualization, programming (lighting, media and cross platform applications using Xojo and QT QML) and product consulting in an advisory capacity with regards to product development.
He has worked on many Television shows, touring and other live events – as well as a lot of corporate shows. Additionally, he is a long time WYSIWYG user and trained on Cast Software’s Blacktrax, means that he is the perfect addition to the Green Hippo team whilst still being freelance and available to program and design shows, write or translate technical documentation and to produce tutorial videos.
