BIRMINGHAM, AL – Design Productions, a full service lighting, drapery and AV company, recently opened its retail sales division for theatrical lighting and video products here. Company president Andy Tolar will also head the new sales division, with Corey Jackson serving as rental manager. Earlier this year, Design Productions was named a finalist in PLSN‘s national Hometown Hero Lighting Company of the Year competition, having won the most votes for the award in the Southeast region.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Design Productions in Birmingham, AL has opened its retail sales division for theatrical lighting and video. Located at 230 Oxmoor Circle, Ste. 1110 in Birmingham, Design Productions is centrally located to service the Southeast with quick access to the interstate.
Andy Tolar, president of Design Productions, will head up the new sales division. “We want to provide face-to-face customer support with immediate, local access to lighting and video products.” said Tolar. “We have expanded our warehouse space to make room for the additional inventory and launched a new website to better serve our customers.”
Design Productions’ plans include hosting guest lecturers and local educational seminars. A demo room is planned where customers and students can play with fixtures. Monthly discounts in both sales and rental are also on the agenda.
Corey Jackson has taken the role of rental manager at Design Productions. “We are excited to be able to provide sales locally. Giving the customers the option to rent or purchase will help better support our customer’s needs. Since we are a locally owned company we can provide better customer service and support. We are always just a phone call away.” said Jackson.
