EMP moved its production branch to Nashville at the end of 2012 with notable clients like Luke Bryan, Rodney Atkins and Thompson Square, and have added Gary Allan, Dream Theater and Casting Crowns to their roster going into 2014.

Jenkins has worked various positions in the lighting and tour production world, including road tech, lighting designer and crew chief for artists like Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, Steven Curtis Chapman, One Republic and Jethro Tull, for more than 10 years. Jenkins also has a degree in entertainment design and technology from Otterbein College in Westerville, OH.

“Because of Cannonball’s combination of extensive touring experience and commercial leadership, he’s uniquely qualified to lead our lighting department,” said Monty Rains, EMP COO.

“I’m excited to be a part of the energy and excitement at EMP,” said Jenkins, adding that he is looking forward to expanding EMP’s touring capabilities and taking EMP to the next level of development. “It’s a new challenge for me, and I like a challenge.” He hopes to serve as an intermediary between the company and its clients, optimizing show creativity and impact while adhering to practical considerations and the overall budget.
