HLB Lighting Design Announces Staff Promotions

NEW YORK — HLB Lighting Design, an architectural lighting designer firm with offices in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Boston, announced several staff promotions recently, including new senior associates, new associates and new senior designers.

New Senior Associates

Lilian Fu

Lilian Fu is a design leader in the SF office with over 15 years of experience. She has expanded her areas of expertise in several major market sectors including several projects in the city of San Francisco’s Mission Bay Masterplan. She demonstrates her appreciation for both the technical advances, sustainable opportunities and artistry in lighting for every project. She joined the company in 1999 and was promoted to Senior Associate from Associate.

Ann LittleAnn Little

Ann Little plays a strategic role as the Marketing Manager in the LA office and contributes to HLB’s overall business development endeavors as well as manages the firm’s public media/communications programs. She has been with HLB for over 14 years and has woven her creativity into promoting the firm’s design excellence. She joined the company in 1998 and was promoted to Senior Associate from Associate.

Laura YatesLaura Yates

Laura Yates is a design leader in the LA office with over 25 years of experience and 5 years with HLB. Her earlier career development at Disney grounded her for complex projects that require a creative approach and strong management skills. She has recently completed the acclaimed City Creek Center development in Salt Lake City, UT. She joined the company in 2007 and was promoted to Senior Associate from Associate.

New Associates

Allison BrownAllison Brown

Allison Brown is a design leader in the NY office with 6 years of experience at HLB. Allison’s masters degree from Penn State University has given her the skills needed in today’s lighting industry for creative solutions that are grounded in a strong pragmatism and effective use of technology. Her projects vary from academic to waterfront parks, with Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Park to her credit. She joined the company in 2006 and was promoted from Senior Designer to Associate.

Michael LindseyMichael Lindsey

Michael Lindsey is a design leader in the LA office where he has combined his strong design and technical skills from the University of Colorado Boulder with his passion for environmental preservation. He joined HLB in 2007 with an eye towards developing his design skills on large scale projects that challenge his expertise. In addition to his significant project design and management commitments, Michael is also an active member of the International Association of Lighting Designers’ Energy and Sustainability Committee. He was promoted from Senior Designer to Associate.

Brandon ThrasherBrandon Thrasher

Brandon Thrasher has over 8 years of experience in theatrical and architectural lighting. Since joining HLB’s Boston office in 2010, he has worked on a range of project types including 500,000 SF of office space for Biogen Idec. His design approach is driven by his keen interest in providing high quality environments through energy efficient lighting. He is also an active member of the International Association of Lighting Designers. He was promoted from Senior Designer to Associate.
