A respected Columbia Law School- and Wharton-educated leader, Karol brings significant legal and business experience in the LED lighting sector, having served as general counsel to Color Kinetics through its acquisition by Philips.
More recently, Karol served as general counsel at Joule Unlimited, a privately-held clean technology company in Massachusetts. He also served as general counsel at Lycos, the pioneering online portal, and as the deputy general counsel for publicly traded and privately held healthcare companies.
