GREENFIELD, IN – Mid-America Sound Corporation announced a change of ownership on Sept. 9. The company noted that longtime employees Bob Williams and Jason Wells have bought the company from Kerry Darrenkamp, who founded the company in 1976.

More details from Mid America (www.midamericasound.com):

“Bob and Jason have both been employees of the company for more than 25 years and have been instrumental in our success” says founder Kerry Darrenkamp. “They were the obvious choice for carrying on the business”.

“Kerry’s dedication to his employees and customers, and his business ethics are what the company was founded on and we will continue that tradition” said Bob Williams.

Mid-America Sound was founded in 1976 by Kerry Darrenkamp, the late Robert King and Bill Fatout and is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Darrenkamp and King saw a need for regional concert production in what was at the time a young industry. They have grown the company to one of the largest the central US.

Mid-America Sound is a full service production company with state of the art audio, lighting, staging and video walls. Jason Wells states “We offer our clients a wide range of services and they know we will go above and beyond for each one.

Kerry Darrenkamp will stay on with the company until the end of 2016 to assist with the transition.
