ASHLAND, VA – Czech Republic-based trussing and staging manufacturer Milos Group announces the recent acquisition of two leading trussing and staging brands: Litec and TOMCAT.
The new deal makes Milos one of the largest global aluminum trussing and staging groups, with the addition of major manufacturing bases in Italy, Slovakia, Mexico and the US to strengthen their 250,000 sq.ft. of production facilities in the Czech Republic and Asia.
The exciting acquisition will reinforce the Milos operation on a worldwide scale, strengthening international sales, manufacturing and engineering infrastructure, as well as bringing additional dynamics to the group.
Increasing the manufacturing capacity will also make Milos even more competitive with the impressive portfolio of standard products and special projects.
Milos’ CEO Frantisek Zykan states, “We are excited to make this announcement. Our strategy has always been to deliver the best products made to the highest standards of excellence with a quick, efficient turnaround. Having Litec and TOMCAT on board expands the ideas pool and product range to meet all staging needs with a truly international reach.”
Zykan believes the skills and experience of all three companies make a perfect combination with many natural synergies, a vast collective experience, a remarkable knowledge base and extensive contacts. “All those working for Litec and TOMCAT are driven, focused and share our collective visions for the future,” says Zykan.
He adds that TOMCAT, based in Midland, TX, has enormous prestige in the concert touring, live music and large scale musical theater sectors. Its products have always been innovative and progressive with ‘Strength Under Pressure,’ an enduring company mantra.
Mike Garl, President & General Manager of TOMCAT, says, “We are delighted to become part of the Milos Group, which will open up a huge range of creative possibilities with like-minded individuals. TOMCAT has always been ‘customer driven,’ and we strive every time to provide service beyond expectations to our clients.”
Litec was founded in 1991 and operates out of a large manufacturing facility in Mogliano Treviso, Italy, with another manufacturing plant in Slovakia which is optimized for the production of standard products. It offers a wide range of products that have become popular worldwide for the conference, exhibition, corporate, commercial and event industries.
Fabio Prada, VP Sales & Marketing of Litec, says, “Joining forces with Milos will enable all of us to continue offering the best staging solutions – off-the-shelf and customized – to meet the needs and exactions of our customers worldwide. Our staff are all motivated by passion, enthusiasm and initiative, which is very much the Milos ethos.”
