Excited about his new role, Daniels states, “There are several goals I’d like to see RSN achieve in 2014, and while these goals are still evolving, the core remains the same—we want to build our network through member education, as well as promote greater awareness about RSN to our potential clients and customers.”
Daniels says a vital goal for the coming year is to reach out to greater numbers of key leaders and decision makers who are event producers and meeting planners, and continue to educate and inform them about the added value, benefits and unique offerings that independent AV companies can bring to their events.
“We want to provide training initiatives for techs, project managers and sales professionals, as well as expand network benefits into each of the companies, involving a broader base of staff members,” he says. Daniels is also committed to growing and maintaining RSN’s successful partnership program with leading vendors in the industry who are committed to RSN’s overall goals of “raising the bar” of professionalism within the rental and staging industry.
Along with Daniels, members voted to approve the appointment of a six-member Board to oversee RSN. Re-elected to the Board are Steve DeVries of Showcore as vice president, Pat Basteri of massAV as treasurer and immediate past-president of RSN, Don Guzauckas of HB Live in North Haven, Connecticut. Newly elected to serve on the Board are Scott Stedronsky of Stage Right as secretary and James Brett of Mediaco as member-at-large.
Since its inception in 2007, RSN’s goal has been to bring the industry’s best audio/visual rental and staging companies together to share best practices and provide nationwide service with the benefit of local contacts, eliminating the need for clients to spend valuable time verifying the competence and capabilities of multiple companies.
