Staff Appointments at Morpheus Lights, TMB, ARRI, Others

LAS VEGAS – Several companies in the lighting and entertainment industries announced recent staff changes and appointments, including Morpheus Lights, with new national sales manager P.J. Turpin pictured here. Other appointments were announced at TMB, ARRI and Solaris, and a new event and production management company, Particle Wave Creative, has been formed. At Morpheus Lights, Turpin will be responsible for the sale of products manufactured by Morpheus and will manage the Morpheus product dealer network. Turpin, who has experience in all aspects lighting product sales, comes to Morpheus from his position as national director of sales for Martin Professional. He will be based out of Morpheus' Las Vegas office / production facility.

 

TMB added Bryan Reiss, a 15-year industry veteran, to its North American sales group. His role will be primarily in customer development. Reiss is a graduate of Adelphi University with a BFA in Theater Design. Reiss started out as technical director with the touring production of Peter Pan and spent 10 years in executive sales at Bash Theatrical, and then PRG. Reiss joins TMB after stints in sales management at BML Blackbird Theatrical Services and Altman Lighting. TMB's sales group has locations in Los Angeles, London, New York, Toronto and Beijing.

 

ARRI named Michael Bravin vice president of market development for digital camera products. Reporting to Bill Russell, vice president of camera products, Bravin will be part of the team based in Burbank, Calif. dedicated to the marketing and sales of ARRI's Alexa digital camera line throughout the North and South American market. This announcement followed other news at ARRI, including plans for Volker Bahnemann, president and CEO of ARRI Inc. and Camera Service Center (CSC), to step down this spring. Taking Bahnemann's place is Glenn Kennel, who joined ARRI in 2009 with the new position of chief technology officer.

 

Particle Wave Creative has been formed and is being led by its principals Karen Hill and Hans Shoop. The Baltimore-based company is focused on event management, production management, lighting and event design. It will have a regional focus on projects in the Washington, D.C., New York City and New England markets.

 

Solaris, Atlanta, Ga., has named Trey Hensley sales manager. Hensley has 28 years of experience with lighting, video and audio, in concert touring, corporate events and show production. Hensley has spent the last eight years as a manufacturer's sales rep.
