HAARLEM, The Netherlands – Visual Productions named Montreal-based Theatrixx, a distributor for lighting, video and audio equipment, as the company's distributor for the Canadian market. Theatrixx also manufactures cable and AC distribution systems. Visual Productions noted that the distribution agreement was confirmed after Prolight+Sound, when Theatrixx CEO Jacques Tessier placed a stock order for Visual Productions' Cuelux, a platform-independent software lighting controller.
"This line of products is offering tremendous amount of possibilities for learning lighting programming for beginners as well as doing highly sophisticated programming for experienced designers; for both live and permanent installation," Tessier said.
Visual Productions sales manager Zoe Castle noted that in less than two months, "we met Theatrixx, they saw our products, liked them and are now actively promoting and selling."
Theatrixx has already launched Cuelux on the Canadian market during both the en Coulisse Show in Montreal and MIAC/PAL show in Toronto. They will also be taking Cuelux to show during their Open Days in Vancouver on May 30 and 31.
