The Innovative British engineering company behind the new range of Maxi-Cool enclosure cooling systems is capitalising on its product’s success in the film and video production sector. Maxi-Cool cabinets feature an integrated refrigeration module to cool servers mounted within the rack. The products are making a positive impact with video production companies who typically run local server installations. A number of production studios have acquired Maxi-Cool cabinets to keep their server arrays productive.
Video and film production companies, along with many CAD, game creation, animation, CGI and 3D image rendering businesses, tend to favor local servers over Cloud storage. Local server storage enables super-fast processing and responsive manipulation of the massive graphics files at the heart of this booming industry. But for organizations without the luxury of an air-conditioned server room, keeping those servers cool can be a problem.
That’s where Maxi-Cool server cooling enclosures deliver an easy and immediate solution. The free-standing cabinets are simply wheeled into place, the servers installed, and the unit plugged into a 13-amp mains socket where it will typically deliver temperature reductions of up to 20°C.

Maxi-Cool cabinets operate from a single 230V mains supply, can be easily repositioned on castors, are whisper-quiet at just 65db and take up just one square meter of floor space. They require no structural changes to walls or buildings, and no ducting hanging out of windows. Smaller Maxi-Cool cabinet configurations are designed expressly to fit in confined spaces.
