Enttec’s Phero 33 RGB Pixel Bar is a linear LED fixture that consumes only 18 watts but produces impressive luminous output using 33 independent RGB pixels that promises uniform color. While some LED units struggle with the warm color palette, the Phero 33 is touted for giving designers dynamic deep reds, ambers and yellows.

“I’m convinced this Phero model, with its technical features and sleek form factor is going to make a big dent in the small to medium size touring market. We’re focusing our energy on telling designers who are hip, rising stars about this light because it just feels like a must-have for the indie bands that are starting to break into big festivals or are headlining in small to medium sized clubs,” says ENTTEC Americas GM Jeremy Kumin.
At a mere 18 watts, the Phero 33 is an energy efficient unit designed for direct lighting applications. Comprised of 33 independent RGB pixels, the Phero 33 features extended color blending and uniform color. While some LED units struggle with the warm color palette, the Phero 33 gives designers dynamic deep reds, ambers and yellows.
The Phero 33 has three options available to meet the needs of designers. The clear option gives designers the maximum light output, while the frosted version provides diffused light to create the best spread. Finally, the popular black option, allows the unit to almost disappear and go into stealth mode with just a slight loss of output.
The applications of the Phero 33 are only limited by the imagination of the designer; it’s at home accenting the edge of a riser, a truss or a video wall. Like the rest of the Phero family, the Phero is IP 40 rated exclusively for indoor use and is housed in an aluminum extrusion enclosure.
On the hardware side, each unit has two Ethercon, one blue Powercon and one grey Powercon connector. The Phero 33 comes with two truss mounting brackets, making it easy to use right out of the box. The Phero 33 is long— 2.95’ [900 mm] and long lasting. The LEDs in the Phero 33 have an estimated life of over 50,000 hours, which translates into more than 25,000 two hour productions.
On tour, the lightweight Phero 33 is easy to manage; up to ten units can be daisy chained together, making installation quick and trouble free. ENTTEC’s 24 port Pixelator and the 8 port Pixelator Mini are both ideal for controlling the Phero 33. The luminaire also pairs nicely with ENTTEC’s Pixie Driver and the Pixel Link family of products, as well as with the ENTTEC E.L.M. LED Mapper. Kumin notes, “People are bringing us a lot of different projects with small pixel counts, but they want the ability to grow them in the future; we’re also seeing projects with substantial pixel counts. The PLink connections we offer between our products just makes sense. The ENTTEC product line offers a solution that’s practical, scalable, and easy to configure.”
