SAN GIOVANNI in MARIGNANO, Italy — Franco Natali, Gherardo Flaccomio Nardi Dei and R&D International, which owns B&C Speakers, are teaming up to form a new company that will bring entertainment lighting products to market at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt this year: RED Lighting s.r.l.
Natali, who had been director of sales for the entertainment division of Martini SpA Illuminazione, noted that rather than continue operating an entertainment lighting division, Martini would divest those assets an focus instead on its strength in architectural lighting, while Natali would start up RED Lighting as a separate company with the other two owners.
Building on the collection of lighting fixtures developed under Martini’s ownership, the company is expected to start off with a range of some 20 lighting fixtures and expand with 10 more, along with a new lighting console to be featured at the show, set for March 21-24 in Frankfurt.
