    LONDON - UK based production company LarMac LIVE (LML) co-ordinated all technical production for 16 major stages and eight smaller performance and creative areas at the 2011 Bestival event. Their full 24-hour production services onsite included facilitating the installation of major festival artworks on the main stage and around the massive site in Robin Hill country park on the Isle of Wight. Bestival 2011 enjoyed fabulous weather and an audience of 55,000 as the whole phenomenon continues to grow in popularity.

    Australian Music Institute Adds ETC for Training Program

    SYDNEY - The Australian Institute of Music, an education and training institution for performing arts and entertainment management, recently purchased two ETC Element consoles: one for the Pilgrim Theatre Sydney, for their Dramatic Arts program, and one for their multipurpose 220-seat auditorium in Foveaux Street. To educate the students on the new equipment, Jands conducted a special training day led by Rod McKinnon.

    AUSTIN, TX – High End Systems, a Barco company, has announced that ARCUS Lighting, the exclusive distributor of High End Systems and Flying Pig Systems in Germany, is now a certified Wholehog training center.  Starting in October 2011, ARCUS will hold monthly two-day training courses free-of-charge at their Paderborn, Germany offices. ARCUS Lighting staff members have been certified by High End Systems to teach programming and operation of Wholehog consoles including the Wholehog 3, Road Hog Full Boar, Road Hog and Hog 3PC software.  Utilizing the latest software, students will learn in-depth procedures for setting up and operating shows on Wholehog consoles.  Each class utilizes Road Hog Full Boar consoles connected to WYSIWYG for hands-on learning.  Students work 2 per console as they partake in lessons designed to replicate real world situations.
