Three Shows Spotlight 10 Years since Chance the Rapper’s ‘Acid Rap’

Designer Michael Apostolos, Principal of Chicago-based Fourline Creative, served as Production and Lighting Designer for Chance The Rapper’s series of one-off shows celebrating the 10th anniversary of his 2013 breakthrough mixtape “Acid Rap.” These included a homecoming show at the United Center in Chicago, followed by nights at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. Apostolos described the essence of his design, which includes providing the artist with “a single spotlight that just allows him to be there, raw in his emotions, close to the audience so they can feel like they’re a part of that moment.”

Pantera 2023 Tour with Lamb of God

Pantera went back out on the road with a powerful lighting design—and a lot of pyrotechnics—from their longtime Lighting Designer Sonny Satterfield. Touring this summer with another metal powerhouse Lamb of God, designed by Bryan Hartley, Pantera proved it had not lost a step. Joining the team on this tour was Production Manager, Eric “Shakes” Grzybowski.

Shania Twain ‘Queen of Me’ Tour

Multi Grammy-winner Shania Twain is currently traveling the world with her Queen of Me tour. This marks Twain’s first tour in nearly five years. PLSN caught up with Lighting Designer André Petrus to talk about the lighting design and how it supports Twain’s music and performances.
