In Memoriam: Peter Wright, 54

NEW YORK – IATSE stagehand Peter Wright died Nov. 12 after falling from scaffolding while performing restoration work at Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre. Police reported that the accident took place around 8:45 a.m. while Wright was performing routine maintenance on the 109-year-old theater. Wright, a resident of Milford, CT, was 54.

PRETORIA, South Africa – It’s not easy to stand out if your group is one of many competing in the viral Jerusalema dance challenge craze on social media. Along with a troupe of 60 distanced employee dancers, broadcast/IT company ClearCast got a visual edge with 24 Astera Titan Tubes. Millennium Productions provided the fixtures, which worked in sync with two 10W multi-color lasers.

CCME Reloaded Virtual Festival Performances Lit with GLP Fixtures

MADRID –  This year’s annual Coca-Cola Music Experience Festival, staged as a virtual event over two days at Madrid’s WiZink Center, was renamed CCME Reloaded to reflect the Covid-19 restrictions that had to be adopted for the event’s 10 year anniversary celebration. Performers including Aitana, Ana Guerra, Beret, Twin Melody, Cora Yako and Lemot got vibrant looks from a PRG-supplied lighting rig, which included 124 GLP fixtures.
