PixelFLEX’s FLEXLite NXG panels have front-serviceable video panels and right-angle corner capabilities. The panels also feature 2.6-6.25mm pixel pitch options and a high refresh rate. The front-serviceable panel feature gives users quick and easy access to perform any onsite adjustments. The right-angle capabilities let users seamlessly create any cubes or corner screens that might be needed. FLEXLite NXG panels are 500mm x 500mm and use a die-cast aluminum frame. Available in an IP65 version (6.25mm), FLEXLite NXG tiles are calibrated to ensure consistent color and brightness, and the front-serviceable panels allow for quick and simple on-site adjustments.

Samsung to Acquire Harman in $8 Billion Deal
SEOUL, Korea and STAMFORD, CT — Samsung Electronics and will acquire Harman International Industries for $112 per share in cash, or total equity value of approximately $8 billion. The deal, announced Nov. 14, changes ownership for Harman-owned brands including Martin Professional lighting products and pro audio brands including AKG, BSS, Crown, dbx, JBL, Soundcraft and Studer.

Fujinon Educational Program Visits NYC on Nov. 1, Continues in U.S. and Abroad

Production Staged on Belgian Castle’s Moat Lit with Robe Moving Lights
WESTERLO, Belgium For Albert 1, a new musical produced by Simon de Merode and staged around and on a series of pontoons floating on the moat of the Westerlo Castle in Belgium, LD Michel Jacobs lit the 150 by 100 meter performance space with Robe moving lights including 20 Robe BMFL Blades as the main fixtures. The sold-out show was seen by 1,850 people a night over two weeks.

Ross Noble’s ‘Brain Dump’ Comedy Tour Features ‘Light Bulb’ Moments with Avolites for Control
LONDON – The production behind British comedian Ross Noble’s latest stand-up tour ‘Brain Dump’ has turned to a tourable lighting control system for the first time. The team has invested in an Avolites Titan Mobile console to power the eccentrically brilliant set, made of giant inflatable light bulbs each with an LED light source at its core. ETCP Class of 2006 Entertainment Electricians Achieve 94 Percent Renewal Rate
NEW YORK — ETCP is pleased to announce an extremely high renewal rate for its original Entertainment Electrician certificants. A decade ago, almost 100 candidates from North America gained their ETCP Certifications at LDI in Las Vegas, NV. This year in October, 94 percent of the inaugural class of 2006 renewed their certifications as their second five-year renewal was due to expire.
