L.A.B.’s Big Auckland Gig Lit with Robe Fixtures

AUCKLAND, New Zealand – Popular Kiwi reggae band L.A.B. performed one of the first Covid-era live shows to be approved by health authorities in early July. The island nation’s ability to control the first wave of the pandemic led officials to approve a live audience for the event at Auckland’s Spark Arena. LD Jack Hooper’s production design included Robe moving lights in the rig. The band, its management team Loop, visual director Olivier Jean and live video specialist Big Picture also collaborated on a memorable show for the band and its fans.

Astera Illuminates “One-hundred Unseen” Installation

BRISTOL, U.K. – “One-hundred Unseen,” a performance artwork featured 100 idled event professionals dressed in stage blacks with red masks who stood in a socially distanced formation on College Green in Bristol, U.K., right in front of the chambers of Bristol City Council, effectively added a human dimension to the U.K.’s red alert day on Aug. 11. PM/LD Tim Smith and LD Chris Bushell used Astera fixtures and an LED screen to amplify the visuals supporting Smith’s stark message.
