CHICAGO — More than 100 industry professionals attended the Midwest Museum Sustainable Lighting Symposium, held Sept. 12 at the Field Museum here. Lightswitch Architectural co-sponsored the event along with The Field Museum, Xicato and Lighting Services Inc. Massive iHeartRadio Music Festival Rig Centers on Robe Fixtures

LAS VEGAS – For the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Festival, staged in the MGM Grand here Sept. 19-20, LD Tom Kenny specified more than 500 Robe moving lights, provided by VER. The event, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, featured performances by Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Usher, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris, Bastille and others.

The New York Festival of Light to Debut in Brooklyn Nov. 6-8, 2014

BROOKLYN, NY – For three nights, Brooklyn’s DUMBO district will light up with the inaugural New York Festival of Light, a new annual outdoor lighting event featuring a laser show presented by 2014 Parnelli Visionary award winner Howard Ungerleider. The free, open-to-the-public event is set to take place Nov. 6-8, and Elation Professional is one of the new event’s sponsors.

Sound Tribe Sector 9 Touring with Clay Paky B-Eye K10s

MORRISON, CO — Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9) performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre here with a lighting rig from Thornton, CO-based Brown Note Productions that included 22 Clay Paky A.leda B-EYE K10 LED-based moving lights controlled by a grandMA2 with NPU. The band’s LD, Saxton Waller, is also including the fixtures, sourced via A.C.T Lighting, in STS9’s fall touring rig.

Nocturnal Wonderland Stage Lights Up with Nexus Fixtures

SAN BERNARDINO, CA — The Sunken Garden Stage at the Nocturnal Wonderland (formerly “Nocturnal Festival”) here featured a lighting design including a “wall of light” by LD Steve Lieberman.
