DURBAN, South Africa — The 2013 Crown Gospel Awards, staged at the International Conference Centre (ICC) here and seen for the first time via South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), was lit with an LED-dominated rig that included 24 Robe Pointes 18 DLF Wash fixtures, six DLS Profiles, 30 LEDWash 600s and 70 LEDForce PRs, all supplied by Gearhouse South Africa.

Warehouse Project EDM Events in U.K. Lit by dbn

MANCHESTER, U.K. — dbn Lighting, based here, once again supplied lighting and LED screens to the Warehouse Project (WHP), a series of EDM events founded by Sacha Lord-Marchionne and Sam Kandel. WHP operates for two regular nights each week from September to New Year’s Eve on a timeline coinciding with university and college schedules. It attracts international EDM DJs and live acts and sells out months in advance. This was the second year the club has operating out of the Victoria Warehouse venue in Trafford Park. dbn’s Pete Robinson has been involved with WHP from the start. This year he created the production and lighting design for all three rooms in the space.

HAMBURG, Germany — Rasta Thomas and Adrienne Canterna, the husband-and-wife team behind the Bad Boys of Dance company (BBD) and its Rock the Ballet productions, are taking a new rock ballet, and update on William Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, on the road in Germany.
