SHENZHEN, China – The founder and owner of Robe lighting – Josef Valchar and Ladislav Petrek – have invested in a new LED screen manufacturing startup – VuePix – with Australia-based entrepreneur Cuono Biviano, the owner of sales and distribution company ULA.

LONDON, Ontario, Canada – Ultratec Special Effects has named Rachelle Robson customer service representative for the Special Effects Order Desk at the company's London, Ontario facility. Robson's responsibilities will include processing orders, confirming orders, providing product and shipping quotes, providing tracking numbers and other CSR tasks.

ATLANTA, GA – Digital Projection Inc. (DPI) named Phil Laney director of simulation and visualization. Laney brings over 13 years of experience selling display products and integrated display solutions and seven years of IT support-related experience.

POTTSTOWN, PA – Upstage Video has hired Brian Tyson as national sales director. Tyson has 25 years of experience working in lighting and A/V sales and production for the entertainment industry. In this new position, he will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining customer relations across the country.

CWMBRAN, U.K. – Cooper Controls UK named Ken Berreen sales manager UK, Middle East & Africa for its Zero 88 and State Automation entertainment brands. Berreen will be responsible for managing day to day sales and commercial activities for the Zero 88 entertainment lighting control and State Automation high density dimming system products.

LONDON – Kinesys named trussing manufacturer Litec as its Italian distributor. Litec, also known as Staging Systems Europe (SSE), is part of the Vitec Group, which also includes companies such as Brilliant Stages and Manfrotto. They are also a master distributor for Columbus McKinnon.

ORLANDO, FL – LMG, Inc. announced that Anthony Tisdell and Michael Orlando recently joined the firm's show services team as account executives.
