Kramer Electronics says that its K-Touch Builder version 2.0.0 offers users many new features and compatible apps. The Android app supports the same features as the iOS app, including improved variables and improved multi-state images. Since the entire system is cloud based, users don’t need to do anything special to benefit from these improvements.

High End Systems released v2.4.0 of its Hog 4 operating system, used by the company’s Hog 4, Full Boar 4, Road Hog 4, Nano Hog 4, Hog 4PC, Hedge Hog 4/4N and RackHog 4 units.

ADJ’s Vortex 1200 offers a new Moonflower effect on a moving head fixture suited for use in applications ranging from mobile DJ set-ups, small clubs and bars.  Along with its 360-degree rotation, there are three operational modes to choose from – Sound Active, Show Mode and DMX Controlled. Under DMX control, operators have an additional four DMX channel mode choices: 14, 15, 17, or 29. The fixture also has an Omega bracket for hanging from truss and weighs only 16 lbs.

Neutrik’s opticamSWITCH, for fiber optic camera routing within broadcast studios, promises to eliminate the need for high-maintenance, risky SMPTE matrix patch fields by automating camera-to-CCU connections, routing both fiber and power.

PR Lighting’s XLED LED range expands with the new XLED 2007 Beam. This fixture features Osram’s 15W Ostar (LE RTDUW S2W) LED modules, each with 4-in-1 color mixing. Each fixture houses seven of these light sources, rated at 50,000 hours lamp life. The fixture runs on 220V, consumes just 120W and weighs only 4.36kg.

FOR-A Company Limited plans to unveil its HVS-XT2000 video production switcher at the IBC Show in Amsterdam Sept. 12-16. The latest addition to the XT switcher family, the XT2000 allows up to 40 SDI inputs and 22 outputs. The unit can be used in many production environments, including OB truck, live event, TV studio, house of worship and educational settings.

PR Lighting is following up on its recently launched LED Studio 3205D for large-scale applications with the LED Studio 3203T/3203D fixtures, now shipping. Whereas their predecessor houses a single 500W LED source the new LED Studio 3203T/D contains a 250W LED — making it well suited for the TV studio, theatre and multi-functional situations as well as commercial display.

d3 Technologies opened up a web shop through which d3 USB keys and software licenses can be purchased directly. d3 Designer is used by designers, project managers and technicians to collaboratively design, build, simulate and sequence shows. First launching in USD, GBP and EUR shops will be rolled out shortly.

Kramer Electronics says its BC-HDKat6a cable builds on its proven BC-DGKat623 category cable and is designed to offer virtually identical performance in tests with 4K signals.

The COLORado 2-Quad Zoom IP from Chauvet Professional promises to reliably light up stages and performers with intense, ultra-vibrant RGBW colors, whether used indoors or outdoors. The fixture features 14 15-watt Quad-Color (red, green, blue, white) LEDs, which emit up to 8,000 lux at 5 meters.

Astera’s Lightdrop (AX3), which replaces the Lightdrop (AL3-M), has Cree LEDs, Samsung batteries and optional CRMX Wireless DMX from LumenRadio. Equipped with a 15W Cree LED chip with a 13° beam angle, the AX3 is twice as bright as its predecessor. Its diffusor dome lets this spot fixture be used for uplighting, and the fixture also comes with an adjustable bracket. As with the AL3-M, the AX3 has a magnetic underside so it can easily attach to metallic surfaces.
