Rihanna Concert in Dallas Cut Short by Flames in the Rig
PLSN Staff | News | July 11, 2011DALLAS — Rihanna’s Loud tour concert in Dallas ended abruptly July 8 halfway through the show with a freakish fire in the rig. The singer had just left the stage after the song “California King Bed,” punctuated with a pyro display, when a wayward spark apparently created flames that appeared to grow higher and wider on the top truss. It took on the appearance of a bonfire as debris cascaded onto the stage. It took audience members a few moments to realize that this was not part of the show.

Ultra Music Festival in Miami Includes Clay Paky Gear
PLSN Staff | News | June 28, 2011MIAMI — The 13th Ultra Music Festival drew well over 100,000 techno fans to Miami’s Bicentennial Park in late March to hear more than 300 DJs and numerous bands performing on six stages. Clay Paky lighting fixtures played a key role. Headliners on the main stage for the festival, which expanded for the first time to a three-day format, included The Chemical Brothers, Duran Duran and Tiësto. Other stages included the Live Stage, Carl Cox & Friends, UMF Korea, Root Society and the Heineken Dome.
