Major Gift to NYU Tisch School of the Arts to Establish the Martin Scorsese Institute of Global Cinematic Arts

NYU Tisch School of the Arts has received a major gift from the Hobson/Lucas Family Foundation, founded by Mellody Hobson and her husband, filmmaker George Lucas. The funds will establish the Martin Scorsese Institute of Global Cinematic Arts, an academic and production institute, which will include the new Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center, the Martin Scorsese Department of Cinema Studies, and support for student scholarships.

Macroblock Symposium 2021 | Introducing Brand-New Drivers for Advanced Displays

 

Macroblock Symposium 2021 was held online on December 15. Through cooperation with Moonshine Animation, they used XR shooting techniques in the virtual production studio to create a new symposium style. This virtual studio created a variety of scenes according to the shooting purposes.  When using Camera Tracking, the scenes moved with the speakers to generate a highly immersive visual experience that blurred the boundaries between the virtual world and reality. Turner Sports Delivers Innovative Hybrid NHL Studio in Record Time Powered by disguise

On the opening day of the 2021 NHL Season on its new home on TNT, Turner Sports unveiled its brand-new broadcast studio for the hockey league for the next three years, all powered by disguise. LUMA Projection Arts Festival Shines Anew After One Year Hiatus

September’s seventh annual LUMA Projection Arts Festival in Binghamton, NY wowed tens of thousands of attendees with six original digital art pieces. As with prior festivals, the canvasses for the displays were facades of historic downtown buildings. Bethany Church Lights New Campus in New Orleans with Chauvet

NEW ORLEANS–Sometimes what is old can become new again. Such was the case with the red brick building at 3700 Canal Street in the historic Mid-City neighborhood.
